“Not enough words can describe how unmatched my experience has been with Luke as a fitness coach. I was looking for a bodily transformation, a healthy lifestyle change – and he exceeded my expectations. My goal was to build muscle mass and improve my mobility/flexibility due to my day-to-day desk job. Luke actively consulted with me from day 1, and developed a specialized fitness plan specific to my needs. Our routines were not only effective, they were extremely educational. Luke is very knowledgeable with the physiological, biochemical and nutritional aspects of the human body. As a trainer, and now as a close friend, I attribute Luke to the highest of standards and would recommend his vast expertise to all who are seeking a fitness makeover.”
“Luke is spot-on! I was looking for help improving mobility and to learn muscle mechanics in order to improve my progress in the gym and take my lifting to the next level! Luke, at Live Great Fitness, not only knows what he’s doing, but he’s also a tremendous teacher and is able to notice little tweaks that can be made for amazing results. Only 5 sessions with Luke, and I learned more about proper lifting technique and muscle mechanics than years in the gym. He has definitely helped take my fitness to the next level! Highly recommend!”
“Whenever I have tried to start a new exercise routine or ramp up my current one, my low back would always hurt. It was very frustrating until I met Luke! His attention to detail and his correcting the smallest posture changes in my hips, knees, feet and back has made such a difference that I am doing exercises and toning muscles I haven’t been able to do before. I feel so much stronger and more fit than I have in years. My back has cooperated perfectly, because I have Luke guiding me in what to do and how to do it. I am holding weights while lunging and doing dead lifts that I never thought were possible! It is so wonderful to be able to exercise, get stronger, and not have my back hurt!”
"Luke is an incredible trainer and person who will motivate you, encourage you, push you and re-frame your entire ideology of working out. I am a busy professional that, for the last two years has been able to dedicate significant time and energy to getting into the gym. I hit the proverbial wall and was not making any additional strides in my fitness, until I met Luke. Luke taught me how to work smarter and not harder or longer. I saw more gains with Luke in the first 6 months than the other 1.5 years combined. Luke taught me that I was not actually feeling my muscles work previously and once he corrected bad habits, the real wins started. My time with Luke so far has been so successful on many fronts: I spend less time in the gym, I don’t over work and I see better results. Luke gave me the ability to finally “get it,” and for that, I am incredibly grateful.”

As a Fitness Coach my goal is optimize HOW you approach exercise both mechanically and philosophically, so you achieve GREATER results in LESS time. This allows exercise to become part of your life, rather than taking over your life.
As a coach I bring a unique level of experience towards helping my clients reach their health and fitness goals.
As a graduate of Exercise Science Kinesiology from Illinois Sate University I've worked in a variety of fitness settings before opening my own coaching practice. Most notably I spent 3 years working in one of San Diego’s premier rehab studios as their Strength and Rehab Specialist. It was here that I was exposed to a level of mentorship most personal trainers do not have the fortune of receiving.
Working alongside doctors of physical therapy, doctors of chiropractic, and world class soft tissue specialists, I trained everyone from Olympic athletes to individuals who suffered severe trauma from car accidents. These populations forced me to develop a detailed eye for proper bio-mechanics and I gained a new appreciate for the power of proper movement patterns, movement specificity, and corrective exercise.
Transferring this specificity to everyday people looking to improve their health, fitness, lose weight, and build muscle, has led to tremendous results for clients and an exercise philosophy based on Minimal Effective Dose. Less really can be more with efficient and effective exercise strategies.
Recognizing the need to help clients bridge the gap between "fitness plan" and the ability to integrate the plan, I obtained a "Dharma" coaching certification accredited by the International Federation of Coaching.
